Jason Wheeler, CEO and wealth consultant at Pathfinder Wealth Consulting, recently earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (CFC) professional designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Wheeler is a founding partner of Pathfinder Wealth Consulting, and he has been in the financial services industry since 1999, according to a news release.

Over 50,000 individuals have been awarded the CFC designation since its inception in 1982, and the credential is widely regarded as the highest standard of knowledge and trust for financial planning professionals, the release stated.

Candidates for the designation must complete a minimum of nine courses and 18 hours of supervised examinations. They must also fulfill stringent experience and ethics requirements, the release stated.

The CFC program prepares professionals to meet the advanced financial needs of individuals, families and small-business owners. Those who have received the designation can identify and establish specific goals and then formulate, implement and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals, according to the release.
