N2 Publishing Makes List Of Best Workplaces For Women

By Jenny Callison, posted Dec 1, 2015
Wilmington-based N2 Publishing has been recognized as a good place for women to work. The company was named to the list of the nation’s 100 Best Workplaces for Women as a result of a survey conducted by Great Place to Work and Fortune, according to a news release.

“At N2, we’re all about creating a culture where every team member has the opportunity for growth, both personally and professionally,” Katherine Daniel, N2’s director of human resources, said in the release.

Great Place to Work and Fortune surveyed more than 135,600 female employees from a diverse sample of more than 630 companies. Questions dealt with topics like the fairness of company promotions, access to information and leadership, as well as the level of support for employees’ personal lives.

Scores also took into account how well represented women were within the workforce, management and executive positions; how positively women experienced their workplace’s fairness; and how favorable women’s experiences were, compared to those of the 138,000 men surveyed.

N2 publishes community magazines for neighborhoods around the country. More than 60 percent of its employees are women, the release stated.
