MCO Transport Recognized With Industry Award

By Jenny Callison, posted Jul 28, 2015
For the second consecutive year, Wilmington-based MCO Transport Inc. received Ozburn-Hessey Logistics’ (OHL) 2015 Carrier of the Year Award, the company announced in a news release.

Award winners are selected for their “excellent customer service based on the following criteria: on-tender acceptance, electronic data interchange (EDI) connectivity, and on-time pickup and delivery, combined with total loads moved, performance trends, and the number of OHL accounts served," the release stated.

Headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee, OHL is a Top Three North American contract logistics provider.

MCO Transport, established in 1975 and based in Wilmington, has terminals in Savannah, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; and Norfolk, Virginia. Beginning as a special commodities carrier, MCO has grown to become an intrastate and interstate carrier with a diverse clientele. In recent years it has expanded into the warehousing market.
