Yost Named An Officer Of N.C. Economic Developers Assn.

Steve Yost, president of North Carolina's Southeast, is among the newly elected 2015-16 officers of the N.C. Economic Developers Association, according to a news release. Yost will serve as the organization's secretary/treasurer.

Raleigh-based NCEDA is a statewide association of economic developers that promotes the state of North Carolina as a place for new economic activity.

Yost has been engaged in North Carolina economic development since 1994, and has been president of North Carolina's Southeast for the past six years. according to his online profile. Prior to that he served as the organization's marketing manager. Earlier in his career he was senior developer and regional manager for the N.C. Department of Commerce and executive director for the Columbus County Economic Development Commission.

Yost holds a master's degree in public administration from UNC-Chapel Hill and a bachelor of science in political science from Appalachian State University, his online profile states. He is a Certified Economic and Community Developer, a graduate of the N.C. Rural Economic Development Institute, and a graduate of Leadership North Carolina.
