Senn Dunn Ranks On 'best Employers' List

By Jenny Callison, posted Apr 28, 2015
Senn Dunn Insurance was recently honored as one of the 2015 Best Employers in North Carolina, according to a news release from the agency. The list of best employers was created by Business North Carolina magazine, the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) – N.C. State Council and Best Companies Group.

“This statewide awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in North Carolina benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses,” the release stated, adding that 45 small, midsize and large companies were included on the list.

Selection followed a two-step process. The first step involved evaluation of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. Part two was a survey of each company’s employees to measure their experience working for the company.

“We are honored to be recognized for a second year . . .” T. Gray McCaskill, CEO of Senn Dunn Insurance, said in the release. “Our associates are our greatest assets and recruiting ambassadors. Their continual feedback provides us with the information we need to continue to enhance our family-friendly working environment at Senn Dunn.”

Founded in 1927, Senn Dunn Insurance now has offices in Wilmington, Greensboro, High Point, Raleigh and Charlotte. In 2014, it joined Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, a subsidiary of Marsh LLC.
