As director, Mills manages and supervises Dosher’s outpatient and inpatient surgical services and procedures, such as endoscopy and post-anesthesia care. She brings 25 years of nursing experience to her new employer and previously served as the manager of surgical services at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.

“There couldn’t be a more thrilling time for me to join the Dosher Hospital family,” said Mills in the release. “I’m delighted to be a part of the growing impact Dosher Memorial Hospital has on the community and its surrounding areas.”

In other news, Dosher Emergency Department director Joann Turzer-Commesso received the 2015 SERAC Trauma Service Award at the 26th Annual New Hanover Regional Medical Center Trauma and Emergency Symposium, according to a press release.
