John Anderson is the new president of the Brigade Club of Rising Professionals (CORP) for the Brigade Boys & Girls Club, according to a recent news release. He will serve in 2015 and 2016 and also has a seat on the club’s corporate board of directors.

Anderson is a partner at McGuireWoods LLP, working as a trial lawyer who represents individuals and businesses in a wide range of litigation matters. He earned a B.S. in business management from N.C. State and a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the release stated.

Before his appointment, Anderson served as the Brigade CORPs’ resource development chairman. He has been a member of the leadership team since 2013.

“The Brigade CORP is comprised of Wilmington’s young leaders who serve as advocates for the Brigade Boys & Girls Club, helping to fulfill the club’s mission of enabling all young people, especially those that need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens,” the release stated.
