Lanier To Participate In Leadership North Carolina

(Stephanie Lanier)
Stephanie Lanier, owner of boutique real estate firm Lanier Property Group, has been named to Leadership North Carolina, an independent nonprofit organization that develops individuals’ leadership capabilities. She is the only person from the Cape Fear region to be named this year, according to a news release.

Leadership North Carolina’s mission is to inform, develop and engage committed leaders by broadening their understanding of and involvement in issues and opportunities facing the state. Its programs, according to the release, teach participants “how to take action to positively influence the state.” Major areas of focus include economic development, health and human services, education, the environment and government.

On her submission to Leadership North Carolina, Lanier identified what she sees as the three most pressing issues for North Carolina: the reduced film incentives program, lack of access to mental health care and needed reforms in pre-K and K-12 education.

Lanier has been active with a number of area organizations, including Welcome Home Angel, Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors, Wilmington Film Commission, the N.C. Azalea Festival and Make a Wish of Eastern North Carolina.
