Wilmington Downtown Incorporated (WDI) has elected new officers and members of its board of directors for the current fiscal year, according to a news release from the organization.
Robert Rosenberg, with Monarcares and Wilmington Development Group, was elected board chairman. Other new officers are: Rob Wagner (McGladrey), treasurer and Chris Hinnant (Cranfill, Sumner and Hartzog Attorneys), secretary. New committee chairs are: Tanner Clayton (Waverider Design), live committee; TJ Dunn (TJ Dunn Style Consultant LLC), shop committee; Andrew Gray (Tayloe Gray Kristof), play committee; Colin Tarrant (Smith Moore Leatherwood), work committee; and retired architect Steve Whitney, dream committee.
Mayor pro-tem Margaret Haynes and New Hanover County commissioner Tom Wolfe continue to represent the Wilmington City Council and New Hanover County Board of Commissioners on the executive committee. Clark Hipp, with Hipp Architecture, is now the immediate past chair, the release stated.
New board members are: Kathryn Williams Gresham, director of physician relations at New Hanover Regional Medical Center; Clark Henry, owner of CIII Associates LLC; Mike Lardieri, owner of Home For Sale In Wilmington; Connie Lincoln, owner of Manifest Design; Alan Murphy, owner of Coastal Kicks; Tim Neathery, vice president for talent acquisition for PPD; John Walker, vice president/commercial banker with First Citizens Bank; Daniel Pena, managing director of JC Print; and Bob Jones, associate director of institutional advancement at Cape Fear Community College.
Four members retired from the board after serving the maximum, allowable number of terms, the release stated. They were: Bobby Hamelburg, Finkelstein’s Music; Dave Hardin, CFCC; Lee Hill, Network Realty; and Ed Murray with PPD.
Focused on promoting downtown Wilmington’s economic growth and investment, WDI is governed by a volunteer 36-member board of directors that represents downtown business owners, property owners, community leaders and other constituents, the release stated.
