Communications Firm Hires Buckley, Wallin

Spirit Communications has hired two professionals for its Wilmington office, the company announced recently. The local office is responsible for expanding Spirit’s customer base in coastal southeastern North Carolina.

Jean Buckley and Carl Wallin are new account executives and “will be responsible for expanding Spirit’s Enterprise and SMB [small and mid-size business] customer base in the coastal southeastern N.C. market,” a news release stated.

Buckley, a long-term Wilmington resident, has 17 years of experience in the telecom industry and has held "prominent positions" in sales, account management, and customer service, according to the release. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where she earned a B.A. degree in hotel, restaurant and travel administration.

Wallin, also a Wilmington resident, has “extensive experience” in data base management, web design and underlying communications, according to the release. He previously served as president of sales and marketing for ActionSportsNow, a local startup marketing firm, the release sated.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Wallin earned a B.S. degree in business with a marketing focus, according to the release.

Columbia, South Carolina-based Spirit Communications is a provider of voice, data and Internet services in the Carolinas, its release stated.
