Moody Elected Riverwalk Project Vice Chairwoman

The Brunswick Riverwalk Board has elected Cheryl Moody its vice chairwoman, according to a recent news release.

The board’s objective is to advise, direct and administer the entire Belville park and Riverwalk project development, according to the release, which explained that the Riverwalk will be a recreational, educational and historical facility. It will be known as The Brunswick Riverwalk at Belville and will serve the entire region.

Moody is the founder of Atlantic Shores Environmental Services Ltd. (ASE), a full-service environmental consulting firm. ASE is certified by the N.C. Department of Administration as a historically under-utilized business (HUB) and a woman-owned business enterprise (WBE), the release stated. 

Moody has nearly 25 years of experience in the environmental consulting field and holds a bachelor of science degree in biology and a master of science degree in environmental science, the release stated.  

Among her professional distinctions, she is a registered environmental manager with the National Registry of Environmental Professional, a certified indoor environmental consultant and certified microbial remediation supervisor through the American Council for Accredited Certification and is a licensed asbestos inspector and management planner in North Carolina and South Carolina.
