PPD Hires Levy To Enhance Services, Development

By Jenny Callison, posted Sep 9, 2014
Henry Levy is the new executive vice president of client development and commercial services at Wilmington-based PPD, according to a recent news release from the company.

Levy, who earned a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, joined PPD from Accenture, where for the past 21 years he “built a strong reputation helping biopharmaceutical clients define and deliver on high-performance strategies,” the release stated.

Most recently, he served as global managing director of Accenture’s life sciences research and development practice. Levy’s experience also includes working with biopharmaceutical industry leaders to drive pre-competitive collaboration solutions, according to the release.

“With two decades of industry experience, Henry brings an impressive track record of relationship-building at the highest levels of the industry to enhance PPD’s efforts to fuel innovation and R&D success for our biopharmaceutical clients,” David Simmons, PPD’s chairman and CEO, said in the release. “He is a welcome addition to PPD’s senior leadership team and shares our passion for serving clients with the industry’s most responsive, strategic and forward-thinking teams and solutions.”

Levy is based at the CRO’s Wilmington headquarters.
