UNCW Names Amanda Fleming As Registrar

By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Jan 29, 2019
The University of North Carolina Wilmington has hired Amanda Fleming as registrar.

Fleming is set to begin her role at UNCW on April 1 and was named to the university position following a national search, according to a news release.

Fleming will report to Richard Ogle, senior associate provost for UNCW’s Academic Affairs.

“Amanda brings a wealth of expertise and experience to this role, and we are excited to have her join the UNCW team,” Ogle said in the release. “We are confident that her collaborative leadership style will help the Office of the Registrar and the enrollment management team continue to provide excellent service to students, faculty and staff.”

Her role with the university will come after a 16-year career with the Office of the Registrar at East Carolina University. She has served the past 12 years there as associate registrar for records and registration, officials said in the release.

She earned an MBA from ECU and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management information systems. Fleming is a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and its state and regional affiliates.
