Physician Carli Williams recently joined Pender Primary Care-NHRMC Physician Group’s practice at its Rocky Point office.
 
Williams did her residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and earned both her medical and bachelor’s degrees from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, according to a news release.
 
She also has earned recognition from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine “for her abilities and commitment to family medicine education and was the recipient of the Bonzo K. Reddick Award for academic achievement,” the release stated.
 
Williams has participated in a number of international medical missions, including trips to Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Honduras as well as volunteered for several community-focused organizations, providing medical care to the homeless, working with teens in an underage drinking youth offenders program and caring for athletes participating in recreational events through southeastern North Carolina, the release stated.
 
Besides her role at the practice, Williams also will provide care as a hospitalist physician at Pender Memorial Hospital.
