Dooley Named Director For Camp Kirkland

The Wilmington Family YMCA hired Luke Dooley as the director at Camp Kirkwood in early April.
 
Camp Kirkwood is located in Watha, North Carolina and offers full-day and residential camps. The camp includes overnight cabins, a dining hall, picnic pavilion, pool, lake, kayaks, canoes, high ropes course and hiking, according to a news release.         
 
Dooley is familiar with the area, as he graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in English and professional writing in 2002.
 
Prior to this position, Dooley had 10 years' experience working with YMCA and was previously the associate executive director of a camp based in Alabama.
