Cori McQueen, an agent with the Carolina Beach office of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, has earned her Strategic Listing Specialist designation, according to a news release, which stated that this designation “helps agents distinguish themselves from competitors, articulate the many benefits they bring to buyers and sellers, and educate sellers on the best strategies they should employ to sell their home.”
 
McQueen completed the two-day course in August.

McQueen has worked in the real estate industry and with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage for four years. In addition to the Strategic Listing Specialist designation, McQueen has earned her ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert) and SPS (Strategic Pricing Specialist) designations.

Local homebuilders, association win awards
 
Several area homebuilders earned statewide recognition recently at a ceremony that was part of the 21st Century Building Expo & Conference.

The Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association (WCFHBA) and Stevens Fine Homes, Fasse bldgs., RMB Building & Design and Riptide Builders LLC were honored, according to a news release from WCFHBA.

Cameron Moore, WCFHBA’s executive officer, was recognized as New Executive Officer of the Year.

“The award honors distinguished Executive Officers across the state who have served in their role for three years or less. Mr. Moore started in January of 2014, and in just a year and a half, he has revitalized events, modernized operations and increased WCFHBA membership by roughly 25%,” the release stated.

In the Statewide Stars competition, WCFHBA builder members won a variety of awards, according to the release.

Stevens Fine Homes was awarded Best Logo Design for a Community and Best Radio Commercial. 

RMB Building & Design took home the award for Best Single Family Energy-Efficient Home.

Riptide Builders was given an award for Best Builder Website. 

Fasse bldgs. received two awards: Best Logo Design for a Builder/Developer and Best Attached Home Plan from $250K to $500K for The Forktail Residence.

“The statewide STARS Awards competition, representing the best in North Carolina’s new home construction, design and sales and marketing efforts, recognizes superior achievements in a broad range of categories. The Awards are presented by the North Carolina Home Builders Association, and symbolize tremendous achievement, honor and distinction among industry professionals,” the release stated.
