At the Historic Wilmington Foundation’s annual meeting earlier this year, the foundation elected leaders for 2015 and recognized new board members, according to a press release.

Kent Stephens, of Kenneth Stephens Attorney, is the foundation's new president. Amanda Smith, a community volunteer, was elected secretary; Walker Abney, an investment advisor and manager of Tilia Fiduciary Partners, was elected vice president. The new treasurer is Zach Adams, regional marketing manager and vice president of First Bank. Attorney Michael Murchison of Murchison, Taylor & Gibson PLLC is past president.

Two new members of the executive committee are CPA Mark Kennedy and Colleen Rozier, director of property management for Cape Fear Commercial Realty.

Historic Wilmington Foundation's new board members are Thomas Porter, Charles H. Boney Jr., Zach Adams and Linda Smith.

Porter is a business consultant for research and development and strategic planning. A veteran with 32 years of experience in the tobacco industry, he worked as a corporate executive. He also restored the Alexander Sprunt House.

Boney is the managing principal and vice president of LS3P Associates and has served on the N.C. Board of Architecture. Currently he is a member of the Cape Fear Community College Foundation board.

Adams is a regional marketing manager and vice president with First Bank. This is his first term on the board.

Smith is a consultant and advocate for affordable housing.
