New Hanover Regional Medical Center recently recognized Keith Anderson, patient liaison with NHRMC Surgical Services, as the hospital’s employee of the year for 2013.

Anderson was nominated and selected by his peers and highlighted for his “compassion for patients and their families, teamwork with his colleagues and ability to communicate quickly and clearly to all involved in a patient’s care are among the reasons he was selected for this honor,” according to a news release.

The hospital’s Employee of Excellence program is intended to acknowledge outstanding contributions of its employees, the release stated. The Employee of the Year is selected from among the monthly winners.
