WilmingtonBiz Talk: A Closer Look At This Year's Coastal Entrepreneur Of The Year

By Cece Nunn, posted Aug 12, 2021
This year's Coastal Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner, Topsail Steamer, is the realization of a dream for founder Danielle Mahon.

Topsail Steamer offers customers ready-to-cook low country boils in pots. Including two in the Wilmington region, the growing company now has six locations, with a seventh coming to Florida and more planned in years to come.

Mahon said she is careful about the markets she chooses to expand in, and while she doesn't expect to open any more Wilmington-area locations any time soon, she is looking at other coastal North Carolina markets.

Mahon joined this week's WilmingtonBiz Talk to discuss Topsail Steamer and her entrepreneurial journey.

"We're going to have a very intentional growth," Mahon said during WilmingtonBiz Talk on Thursday. "We're going to find the markets that we feel are right for us."
