New Hanover County business owners in the hospitality, retail and service industries have until July 15 to apply for grants to help with COVID-19 impacts. The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce is in charge of administering the $4.5 million in grants – funding supplied from part of the city's and county’s portions of federal relief funds.
Ahead of the upcoming deadline, chamber president and CEO Natalie English joined Thursday's weekly BizTalk.
English also discussed economic development plans and $181,000 the chamber received in the new county budget to start the first year of a three-year plan “for business retention, expansion and recruitment.”
