WilmingtonBiz Talk: Plans For NCino Sports Park

By Vicky Janowski, posted May 6, 2021
This week the Wilmington City Council approved a $1.3 million sponsorship agreement with nCino for a proposed youth sports complex.

The complex, off U.S. 421, was part of the city’s parks bond, and the $10 million project is expected to include multi-purpose fields for soccer, football, lacrosse, Ultimate Frisbee, rugby and more. In 2019, the city accepted 64 acres for the project from Wilmington Hammerheads Youth Soccer, which will also manage the complex.

For this week’s WilmingtonBiz Talk, Carson Porter, executive director of Wilmington Hammerheads Youth Soccer, shared an update on the project and its potential to draw tens of thousands of visitors to the area annual through regional sports tournaments.
