Gino Z. Galutera was named director of auxiliary services at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
 
With oversight of Campus Dining, the UNCW Bookstore, Parking, Transportation and the One Card Office, the Auxiliary Services Department plays a key role in delivering the quality experience that university stakeholders expect and deserve, according to a news release.
 
“We are truly excited to have Gino join the Business Services team,” said Sharon Boyd, associate vice chancellor for business services, in the release. “The caliber and range of his experience are a perfect fit as we look to modernize our services with new technology while maintaining a personal touch with our students, faculty and staff. His experience includes success working with diverse populations and thoughtful and positive change management. We are thrilled that he has accepted this opportunity.”
 
Galutera joins UNCW from Brandeis University, where he served as the managing director of auxiliary services. Prior to that, he worked at The Citadel, where he served as associate director of auxiliary services and director of One Card services.
 
With more than 11 years of experience leading auxiliary operations on a university campus, Galutera has a successful record of directly planning and implementing quality service improvements across a variety of auxiliary functions, including campus dining, bookstore operations, beverage/vending services, and One Card operations.  In addition, Galutera has experience in the private sector, having served as corporate marketing manager for the Sticky Fingers Restaurant Group.

Based on his many accomplishments Galutera has received numerous recognitions, including the 2015 National Association of College Auxiliary Services Mereese Ladson Diversity Award, and he was named one of the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s "Forty Under 40" in 2009.
 
Galutera holds an MBA from The Citadel and a B.A./B.S. in Spanish/Biology from Furman University.
