Cape Fear Community College Foundation has announced the hiring of Wendy Littlefield.

Littlefield, who served previously as the interim office manager and special projects assistant at the foundation, is now the new director of annual giving, according to a news release.

In her new role, Littlefield coordinates and oversees the annual giving program as well as supports initiatives in development and donor relations.

“Scholarships change lives, and I am thrilled to be a part of an institution that has such a committed group of donors," Littlefield said. "I have the best of both worlds, building relationships with generous and passionate donors while seeing first-hand how scholarships make a difference in a student’s academic and personal life.”

A Wilmington native and Campbell University graduate, Littlefield has extensive experience in the financial and medical sectors, officials said in the release.

"I'm absolutely thrilled that Wendy Littlefield has accepted the role of Director of Annual Giving at Cape Fear Community College Foundation,” Marty Richards, executive director of the Cape Fear Community College Foundation, said in the release.
