At CFCC's Small Business Center, Coleman has become a fan of video conferencing platforms such as Zoom.
 
“Zoom saves time and expense by reducing travel,” Coleman said. “It also enables us to share documents and include additional resource providers in our counseling from around the state as needed.”
 
Newspapers and magazines Coleman regularly reads for work or pleasure include the StarNews, Port City Daily, Greater Wilmington Business Journal and WILMA magazine.
 
He also subscribes to Entrepreneur, Fast Company, WIRED and The Economist.
 
Favorite podcasts include How I Built This with Guy Raz and The Side Hustle Show, about turning a hobby or side hustle into a career.
 
“I really enjoy podcasts and the stories they tell,” Coleman said. “I am always learning something new while driving, exercising or taking a relaxing walk on the beach.”
 
Favorite TV shows include Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime and HBO’s Succession series.
 
Books he recommends include “The Ever-Evolving Enterprise: Guidelines for Creating your Company’s Future” by Stephen C. Harper, “Performance Culture” by Dallas Romanowski and “It's Personal, Not Personnel: Leadership Lessons for the Battlefield and the Boardroom” by Rob Campbell.
