What made the company decide to make its goods locally? Ray: “P2P is rooted in New Hanover County. With our newly expanded production facility in Dutch Square, we are committed to utilizing our skilled, local labor pool and sourcing materials that are local or Made in USA.” What’s planned next? Ray: “Lifeguard agencies often send us equipment they are using and ask if we can improve on the quality and price. For example, The Honolulu Ocean Safety asked if we could improve on the function of a piece of equipment called a fin belt. And expanding on our jet ski operation training course coming up in April, P2P rescue will extend its training around the country and on an international stage, bringing together some of the most experience first responders in the world.” EDITOR’S NOTE: To be considered for the Business Journal’s MADE feature, contact [email protected]. |
