Mayfaire Town Center’s tenant mix will soon include a golf training business, a new clothing and gift store and a national arch support franchise.

Former professional golfer Ethan Castle and PGA professional and coach Steve Dahlby are opening Coastal Golf Academy at 917 Town Center Drive across from the Regal Mayfaire & IMAX movie theater.

“It’s an indoor golf training facility. We're focusing on instruction purely, and we're going to have two simulators in there and putting as well,” Castle said. “It's focused on seeing people of all levels improve their game."

Castle played for eight years, including in the PGA Tour Latinoamérica.

"What makes us a little bit different is my playing experience,” Castle said. “I did it for a long time at a high level. Steve has obviously coached at a high level for a long time. So just some of the knowledge that we have access to and some of the people that we have access to just being able to do webinars and virtual clinics with PGA Tour coaches makes us a little bit different than just your typical golf academy.”

Castle said he hopes to officially open Coastal Golf Academy in its 800-square-foot storefront by June.

Haley Bullock and her mother, Tammy Cissel, plan to open Blakeley’s, a store specializing in women’s fashion, giftware, baby apparel and more, in 2,300 square feet at 6837 Main St.

Bullock said she and her mom (pictured below) have always shared a love of fashion. While Bullock attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, she said she “had the privilege of working at various local boutiques and always dreamt of one day opening her own.”

Cissel, a former teacher, always dreamt of one day working alongside her daughter.

"Sharing their love of fashion, hosting, and connecting with others, they decided to put their dreams together and launch an apparel and gift boutique of their own,” Bullock wrote in an email.

Blakleley’s launched as an online boutique in April 2021.

“Since then, we have opened two vendor-boutique locations in the Raleigh area,” Bullock said. “With the wonderful response we have received online and in-store, we have decided to grow. We are so excited to be opening our very own storefront location here in Wilmington.”

She said they expect to open Blakeley’s in mid-June.

Also coming soon to Mayfaire Town Center, at 859 Inspiration Drive across from Barnes & Noble, is The Good Feet Store. An exact date has not yet been announced.

“The Good Feet Store offers premium, personally fitted arch supports at more than 200 retail locations in the U.S. and abroad,” according to a news release. “Engineered for comfort and pain relief in more than 400 styles and sizes, Good Feet Arch Supports are personally fitted to the precise needs and preferences of its customers.”
