With multiple locations throughout Wilmington and the surrounding areas, Seaview Crab Company continues to expand its offerings.

Seaview Crab Company Kitchen, located at 1515 Marstellar St., conducted a Sunday Brunch test run over Memorial Day weekend, with a menu featuring a steak and poached lobster benedict, blackened fish hash with an over-easy egg, and grilled asparagus, crab and avocado toast, shrimp and waffles, and a breakfast bisque.

Kitchen manager Emily Fleckinger said the kitchen has applied for a beer and wine license and as soon as it is in hand, brunch service will be offered each Sunday.

“We wanted to get one test service under our belt,” Fleckinger said. “It was a great trial run for us and we were excited to see a lot of our regulars come by to check it out.”

Brunch selections will vary each week, featuring specials created by chef Brandon Stark. Sunday brunch customers will also be able to select items from the kitchen’s grab-n-go case, such as peel-and-eat shrimp with a choice of seasonings, crab and pimento cheese cornbread and various types of pasta and potato salad.

“Brandon is always experimenting with new salads, dips and sides for our case,” Fleckinger said. “He’s always coming up with fun, fresh new ideas to keep things interesting.”

Seaview opened an outdoor seating area with several picnic tables and umbrellas back in March to allow customers to enjoy their meals on site, something Fleckinger said has been a big draw for customers who previously had to take everything to go.

“This option has added so much growth to our business,” Fleckinger said.

The Marstellar Avenue location also offers steamed seafood and seafood boils that can be eaten onsite or purchased for carryout. With an onsite steamer, this location also offers the option of seafood steamed onsite, or customers can take it home and prepare it when they’re ready.

The seafood boil option comes with a tray or pot of corn, potatoes, sausage and seasoning, to which any combination of seafood can be added. Popular add-ons include crab, crab legs, clams, mussels, crawfish and shrimp.

The market’s location at 6458 Carolina Beach Road is also now offering create-your-own seafood boils, but unlike the Marstellar location, boils purchased here must be taken home to cook as there is no steamer on site.

Boils from either location can be ordered in advance, or customers can simply walk in and make their selections.

Fleckinger said she anticipates Seaview’s beer and wine license to be in hand by the end of the month, at which time brunch service will be announced, as well as several new menu items that will be available every day in addition to Stark’s daily specials.
