Two local businesses were visited by film crews from the Food Network last week, according to social media posts from Winnie’s Tavern and Cheesesmith Food Truck.

In a Facebook post June 19, Winnie’s officials stated that their Trailer Park Burger would be featured on a Food Network show sometime later this year.

“We knew the Trailer Park Burger was a star when we first put it on the menu,” the post stated.

The Trailer Park Burger features a half-pound burger topped with Cajun fried green tomatoes, jalapeno pimento cheese, hickory smoked bacon, iceberg lettuce, onion, bread and butter pickles and chipotle mayo for $13.95.

Prior to the visit, Winnie’s was closed for three Sundays at the end of May and beginning of June for interior updates.

Cheesesmith also posted last Wednesday that they would be serving lunch at Waterline Brewing Company, where they would be filmed for an appearance on a Food Network program.

The food truck specializes in artisanal grilled cheeses and sides.

Due to confidentiality agreements, officials at neither of the establishments could confirm which program they will be a part of, but both plan to release the information on air times as soon as they are able.
