After more than two years of planning, Green Line Pizza & Steak has announced the grand opening of their second location at 4015 Market St. in Wilmington.
The grand opening celebration will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, with free pizza slices and menu samples, along with music and entertainment.
“After many months of hard work and preparation, and a soft opening in May, we are excited to celebrate the grand opening of our second restaurant,” said owner Kleo Pechlivanidis.
Pechlivanidis has also invited several local pet rescue groups to take part in the event, so attendees can meet some local adoptable pets.
“After the displacement of so many pets, we wanted to use our grand opening as a way to give back,” Pechlivanidis said. “We’re partnering with local rescue groups to help them gain awareness and possibly connect them with new families looking to adopt. We want to continue to give back to our community.”
Pechlivanidis said he saw an opportunity to serve downtown and midtown residents with this second location.
“There was an opportunity here for a restaurant like ours to fill a gap in the community,” Pechlivanidis said. “What sets us apart is our commitment to providing authentic flavors of the North East, but also using fresh, organic and healthy ingredients in all our food.”
Like the Ogden location, the new restaurant offers dine in, carry out, and delivery. The menu features a variety of pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads and authentic Philly Cheese Steaks.
“Our core products will always be our pizzas and cheese steaks, but the new location has given us the opportunity to test new menu items,” Pechlivanidis said. “We launched a new salad and organic chicken fingers recently and are looking to test a kid’s menu soon.”
He also noted that Green Line is working on gluten free and vegan options.
“We are so excited to celebrate with the community that supports us and welcome them to the new store,” Pechlivanidis said.
Green Line Pizza & Steak's other location is at 7134 Market St.
