Thalian Hall will present the 2018 Taste of the Town on Sept. 11, with downtown Wilmington restaurants providing a sampling of their signature dishes for participants to enjoy and critique.

The self-guided culinary tour begins at Thalian Hall, where participants receive a map of the participating restaurants, each of which will be competing for the titles of Best Appetizer, won last year by Savorez, and Best Entrée and Best Overall, both won by The George on the Riverwalk last year.

“This taste adventure lets you sample the flavors of downtown,” said Thalian Hall operations director Jarrett Donmoyer.

This years participants include: Anne Bonny’s Bar & Grill, Bella’s Bar Local, Dram & Morsel, Elijah’s, Fat Tony’s Italian Pub, The Pilot House, PinPoint, Platypus & Gnome, Savorez, Tarantelli’s and The George on the Riverwalk.

All proceeds benefit Thalian Hall and tickets are $50 per person. Visit Thalian Hall's website for tickets and more information.
