The Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance will mark the halfway point to Cape Fear Craft Beer Week 2019 (March 22-March 31) with Halfway There, a celebration of locally crafted beer, on Sept. 15.
Local breweries will be set up at different venues in downtown Wilmington to release brand new brews, including seasonals, first releases and carefully crafted one-offs.
Current participating breweries include Bill’s Front Porch, Broomtail Craft Brewery, Check 6 Brewing Company, Edward Teach Beer Co., Front Street Brewery, Ironclad Brewery, New Anthem Beer Project, Waterline Brewing Co., Waterman’s Brewing, Wilmington Brewing Company, Wrightsville Beach Brewery, Makai Brewing of Ocean Isle Beach and Salty Turtle Beer Co. of Surf City.
Front Street Brewery will be tapping the first of its Oktoberfest Lager kegs and featuring a $5 Pretzel & Pint special, as well as $7.99 Bratwurst plates.
Early registration is available online for $5, and Halfway There Passport pickup and day of registration will run from noon to 6 p.m. at Bombers Bev. Co., 108 Grace St. Passport holders will collect stamps at each venue to redeem for prizes such as Freakers, glassware, and discount codes for Cape Fear Craft & Cuisine tickets.
A roaming prize patrol will be giving away gift certificates and T-shirts. Online registration closes Sept. 12, and day of registrations will be $10.
