Clean Eatz , the Wilmington-based franchise specializing in whole foods in balanced portions, will host franchisees from more than 70 locations around the U.S. when it holds its 2018 convention this weekend at the Wilmington Convention Center.
Since its inception in 2011, Clean Eatz has aimed to help consumers achieve a healthier lifestyle and reach their wellness goals through balanced, portion-controlled meals. With offerings such as beef brisket with twice-baked potato, chicken Parmesan, and the Arnold steak wrap, Clean Eatz crafts scratch-made selections that appropriately divvy up fats, carbohydrates and proteins based on an individual’s nutrition goals.
Since franchising began in 2015, the company has grown to more than 30 locations, with another 40 slated to open over the next 12 months.
Owners say they are excited about bringing franchisees from across the country to the Port City.
“The 2018 Clean Eatz National Convention is designed to allow our teams from all over the country to come together for a moment and celebrate the Clean Eatz lifestyle, learn about best practices, grow our company culture, discuss future vision and catch up in person,” said Evonne Varady, Clean Eatz founder and co-owner.
The convention will feature two days of hands-on workshops and presentations at the Embassy Suites downtown. It will culminate Saturday with the EveryBodyFitz Expo, held at the Wilmington Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Open to the public, the daylong event will offer fitness demonstrations, mini workouts and a health vendor fair. Organizers said the concept behind the EveryBodyFitz Expo is to help people explore options for wellness plans that suit their individual lifestyles.
“We feel the EveryBodyFitz Expo is the perfect way to close out our franchise convention,” Varady said. “We worked alongside a number of local businesses to make this event a reality, so we’re excited to share it with our entire Clean Eatz crew and the Wilmington community.”
Clean Eatz operates two Wilmington locations: the flagship store at 203 Racine Drive and at 5916 Carolina Beach Road, No. 150.
