Jersey Mike's, Planet Smoothie To Open At Masonboro Commons

By Cece Nunn, posted Mar 8, 2017
Two national chains have signed up for space in a shopping center on Carolina Beach Road, brokers said this week.

Planet Smoothie and sandwich store Jersey Mike's Subs will take over the vacant 2,400 square feet of space in units 9-10 of Masonboro Commons Shopping Center, 6400 Carolina Beach Road, according to an announcement from Eastern Carolinas Commercial Real Estate.

The new arrivals to the center signed long-term leases and could be open by the third quarter of 2017, the release said, depending on how long upfitting the space takes.

ECCRE brokers David Branton and Nicholas Silivanch represented the landlord in the lease, while Spruill Thompson of Cape Fear Commercial represented Jersey Mike's Subs and Planet Smoothie.

Caliber Capital of Atlanta bought the shopping center, at the corner of Golden and Carolina Beach roads, for $3.3 million last year.
