Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance will host its inaugural event as the finale of Cape Fear Craft Beer Week, on Saturday, April 1, at Airlie Gardens.

Cape Fear Craft & Cuisine will bring craft beer enthusiasts and foodies together for to enjoy pairings from the area’s leading chefs and brewers.

The mission of the Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance, which was created last year, is to promote awareness and increase visibility of craft beer in the Cape Fear region through education and participation in community events.

Cape Fear Craft & Cusine will offer guests small plates and 2-oz. beer samples from more than 30 participating restaurants and breweries.

A commemorative tasting glass and a program with tasting notes are also included.

“Wilmington is one of the fastest growing craft beer cities in the South,” said Jeremy Tomlinson, president of the Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance. “Over the last few years, the area has also become well known for its award winning restaurants and chefs. By pairing these together, we can showcase the diverse craft beer and culinary offerings in our region. Since both brewer and chef will be on-site for this event, it will allow guests to broaden their knowledge on what it means to be a craft brewery and receive insight into the experience of food selection and creation.”

Early bird tickets are on sale now for $65 through Jan. 31. The price will increase to $75 as of Feb. 1. Visit the event's website for full details and tickets
