MLS Used By Local Realtors Rebrands, Set To Debut At State Convention In Wilmington

By Staff Reports, posted Oct 17, 2024

The N.C. Regional Multiple Listing Service (NCRMLS), the MLS used by Wilmington-area Realtors, is transforming to Hive MLS and Hive Solutions, according to a news release.

"The new Hive brand marks a pivotal moment in the organization’s evolution, signifying its ongoing commitment to serving and supporting the success of real estate professionals," the release stated.

Hive MLS will officially debut at the NC Realtors Convention & Expo in Wilmington, set to take place Saturday through Tuesday at the Wilmington Convention Center. This year's president of NC Realtors is Tony Harrington, managing broker of Corcoran HM Properties in Wilmington.

According to the Hive release, "The event will showcase Hive MLS’s new branding and innovative solutions. Industry professionals and community members are invited to visit the Hive MLS booth to learn more about its innovative services, meet the team, and network with industry peers."

The new brand was inspired by "a beehive's highly efficient and organized structure," the release stated. Including Realtors in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties, Hive MLS represents over 19,000 brokers and appraisers in the Southeast region, including operations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, serving 449 cities and towns, according to the release.

“Bees are nature's ultimate team players, and their hive represents an unwavering model of efficiency and cooperation with humility,” stated Daniel Jones, CEO of Hive MLS, in the release. “Our new name embodies our mission to create a supportive environment where associations, MLSs, real estate agents, brokers and clients collaborate to succeed. We believe that working together can enhance the real estate experience for everyone involved.”

According to the release, the rebranding comes with "an array of new offerings under the Hive Solutions umbrella, a suite of products designed to help real estate professionals streamline their operations and better serve their clients," including tools to improve listing accuracy and transaction efficiency, training programs, data services with real-time insights and market analytics and community engagement tools.
