One of the area's largest residential real estate companies based in Wilmington recently opened an office in a growing area of Brunswick County.

Intracoastal Realty Corp. placed its newest office at 122 N. Howe St. in downtown Southport, according to a news release.

The office "provides a convenient location for Intracoastal Realty to effectively serve the agents and their buying and selling clientele in the Southport, Oak Island, Caswell Beach and St. James Plantation areas," the release stated.

Trey Wallace, president of Intracoastal Realty, said in the release, “We recognize this area as a burgeoning real estate market where we can continue to grow our brand and deliver the exceptional service for which we are known. The office location provides us with an inviting space, which is easily accessible to our clients, as well as anyone who just wants to stop in and ask any real estate-related questions.”

A ribbon-cutting and a Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours Networking event was held May 18 at the new office. Additionally, the Intracoastal Realty Office in Southport is participating in First Friday Art Walks.
