With Merger, Two Familiar Names In Local Real Estate Reunite

By Staff Reports, posted Feb 21, 2023

Tim Milam, CEO of Wilmington-based Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, recently announced his company’s merger with Buddy Blake and Waypost Realty.

Blake began his 25-year career in real estate alongside Milam, at what was then Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty, according to a news release. Over the past 13 years, Blake owned and operated a national franchise and a local independent company.

"We recognize the value and opportunity that Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage offers both locally and nationally. Their vast market share and sizeable control of the Carolinas will bring new opportunities to my team," Blake said in the release.

According to the release, Blake "has been a pioneer in the surrounding area's real estate market. He continues to be a leader in agent training and team-building and is credited with creating career trajectories for numerous successful agents. His experience and knowledge of market trends, combined with his creativity, have brought much success to repeat clients, agents and homebuilders in the area over the years."

Blake and his team will be operating out of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage’s Autumn Hall office in Wilmington, the release stated.

“We are happy to welcome Buddy and his team back to Sea Coast,” Milam said. “Our agents are collaborative, ambitious and principled and most of all, they are committed to providing the highest level of customer service. I am confident that this team will be a wonderful fit for our company culture.”
