Wilmington Firm Targets Growth In Charlotte Area With New Office

By Staff Reports, posted Jan 27, 2023

Wilmington-based Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage recently opened an office near North Carolina's largest city as the residential real estate giant continues to expand beyond the Cape Fear region.

“We have secured a great location at 124 Unionville Indian Trail Road in the rapidly growing Indian Trail area,” said Tim Milam, CEO, in a news release. Indian Trail is a suburb of Charlotte.

The new office will be led by Tyson Emery and Lindsay Barbour, two of Sea Coast Advantage's top-producing agents and leaders of the Aspyre Realty Group, Milam said.

Denise Kinney, president of Sea Coast Advantage, said the company already had a presence in Charlotte.

"We had agents who worked both markets and were members of the MLS up there," Kinney said. "We were sending business up there. They were sending business down here. And so we saw the need as our business grew in that market."

She said the new office fits with the company's business model "of supporting and servicing our agents. So when we have agents that are going back and forth to market like that, where we don't have a presence, then we want to help them continue to grow they're putting a lot of time and energy into that area."

According to the release, Emery is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) who transitioned to the sales arena after an eight-year career in the mortgage industry.

Barbour is also a graduate of UNCW, where she earned a degree in business with a concentration in management and leadership. Her background also includes 10 years of experience working in operational management and two years running her own real estate transaction coordination business.

The new location will have flexible space for agents traveling in from other areas, as well as dedicated desk space for permanent agents.

Kinney said, "This allows us to provide our agents with a base from which they can efficiently serve their clients."
