Real Estate Firm Creating Offices In Carolina Beach, Mayfaire

The agents of Nest Realty are getting two new places to roost.

The Wilmington branch of the Virginia-based residential real estate firm is creating an office in Carolina Beach by revamping an existing building, and moving its current main office on Military Cutoff Road to vacant space at Mayfaire Town Center.

The renovations on the Carolina Beach office (rendering shown below), 112 Cape Fear Blvd., are expected to be complete by mid- to late February, depending on the weather, said Ryan Crecelius, principal broker for Nest. 

Crecelius started the Wilmington Nest Realty office in 2014. He said Carolina Beach is a great market, and agents interested in joining Nest had reached out to the Wilmington branch.

"Geographically speaking, adding a spot down there just made a whole lot of sense," Crecelius said.

Jessica Keenan is the broker in charge of the Carolina Beach office, he said. Six agents are on board now, with about 15 to 20 expected to be working out of there eventually, he said.

Builder Dave Spetrino, founder of PBC Design + Build, has been overseeing the renovations, and Bryan Kristoff of Craftspace Design had been helping with the look of the offices.

"Nest agents are top-notch marketers, and they wanted this new office to be a reflection of that," Spetrino said in an email of the Carolina Beach building. "I have no doubt they will serve the CB market well and am glad to be helping them as they expand."

Crecelius said Nest Realty will be also moving from its 1,900-square-foot space in the building at 1508 Military Cutoff Road to Mayfaire Town Center, to the spot nearest the Fresh Market that was formerly occupied by Artisan Market & Cafe. The restaurant closed in 2008.

The Mayfaire office comes with an outdoor area and at about 3,000 square feet, gives Nest room to grow, Crecelius said.

He said the firm hopes to be in the Mayfaire office by mid-March.
