More Commercial Units Sell At Bradley Creek Station

An office and retail building on Oleander Drive recently racked up nearly $6 million in sales as four buyers bought six units.
 
One of the spaces at Bradley Creek Station, 5815 Oleander Drive, will hold a new clothing store, S. Worsley, owned by Susanna Worsley. She said the store, located on the first floor next to Big Sky, will offer designer and contemporary clothing, accessories and gifts.
 
Worsley previously worked in New York for Bergdorf Goodman and Ann Taylor. She was in charge of buying and merchandising for the Chevy Chase Club’s golf shop in Washington, D.C. for a year.
 
“I always pictured myself moving back to Wilmington and opening a store,” Worsley said. “COVID definitely sped up that process.”
 
She said her store will have a varied price range.
 
“I want anyone to be able to come in and find something,” Worsley said.
 
She said she’s planning to open S. Worsley in the fall.
 
Forrest Firm will lease about 6,400 square feet of the recently purchased space, planning to move the law firm’s office to Bradley Creek Station from downtown Wilmington around the end of summer or beginning of fall.
 
“We love the building,” said Andy Jones, president of Forrest Firm. “We think it’s a convenient location, centrally located for our clients and our staff, and we like the Class A office space. We’re going to build out the space in a way that is cutting-edge, post-pandemic.”
 
The design will be based on research that has included talking with consultants, engaging employees and conducting surveys, he said.
 
“We’ve always been a work-from-anywhere model, but people don’t want to exclusively work from home; they do want to come to the office, just not necessarily every day,” Jones said.
 
He said he sees the new office as becoming a hybrid.
 
“It’s going to be a mix of collaborative meeting rooms and conference areas and some dedicated spaces that are sort of flexible in that lawyers may not have the same office every day unless they're going to be there more frequently,” Jones said.
 
The other recent purchases at Bradley Creek Station include three units bought by Mashke LLC for $3.4 million and one unit purchased by Sound Harbor Wealth Partners of Wilmington.

Steve Hall, partner at Wilmington-based Maus, Warwick, Matthews & Co., represented the seller, Bradley Creek Station LCC, in the transactions.
