Three convenience store businesses and properties sold recently for nearly $4 million in Brunswick County, according to an announcement Thursday.

Anne Adams of Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners was a dual agent in the $3.95 million transaction, which involved 1450 Fifty Lakes Drive in Boiling Springs Lake; and 5303 E. Oak Island Drive and 5501 E. Oak Island Drive in Oak Island, the news release stated.

The buyer was Steve Carroll, and the seller was Andre Huynh.

"Carroll plans to introduce food service with dishes from his former home states, Texas and Louisiana, bringing some of his background to his recently acquired locations in Brunswick County," the release stated.

Some items, including certain foods and drinks, might have been rare or absent from the shelves at gas stations and convenience stores in years past, but they have been becoming the norm in the industry, according to a previous Greater Wilmington Business Journal story.

One of the stores, according to the release, is located just in front of a development that could eventually hold 600 homes.

The other two stores are on Oak Island and "supplement each other well in order to better service the community," the release said.

Of the seller, officials said, "Hunyh was particularly happy with Adams’ ability to keep the sale listing confidential and bring the perfect buyer to the transaction," the release stated.
