The owner of a store in South Carolina plans to open a Wilmington location soon.

Style Me Boutique is coming to Mayfaire Town Center, in the spot next to Portrait Innovations that was formerly occupied by Fedora Boutique, which closed in January.

Style Me Boutique sells women's clothing, accessories and shoes with a focus on helping shoppers create complete looks that reflect a personal style, said owner Irina Kopina.

The 869 Inspiration Drive spot is a second location for Kopina's business. The other is at 1554 U.S. 17 North in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

"Our motive is to offer boutique clothing without boutique pricing. We just want to have affordable clothing for everybody, for different ages," Kopina said this week.

She said she wanted to open the Mayfaire store, which is about 1,400 square feet, after researching the market and deciding Style Me Boutique could offer area shoppers something different.

"I train my employees to help the customers so when they come in, it’s to develop a more personal relationship, where we just help you out to develop your own style, because a lot of people don’t have that," Kopina said.

Style Me Boutique is one of the latest new tenants for Mayfaire, and is expected to open this month.

A different women's clothing store, Tusc, is moving from downtown Wilmington to part of the former TrySports space on Town Center Drive at Mayfaire Town Center, possibly opening by the beginning of April. Tusc sells clothing and accessories that have a beachy-bohemian style.

In new space at the center,  two Wilmington scientists and parents plan to open The STEM Labs, which will offer schoolkids science, technology, engineering and math programs, in May at 820 Town Center Drive.
