BIZTALK: On The Slaying Of George Floyd And Local Protests

By Cece Nunn, posted Jun 3, 2020
The horrific death of George Floyd, an unarmed African American man killed during an arrest May 25 in Minneapolis, sparked protests across the United States and in Wilmington.

Those protests have also led to curfews in numerous communities, including in New Hanover County and Wilmington.

On Wednesday's BizTalk, Assistant Chief David Oyler of the Wilmington Police Department discussed the protests and Floyd's death.

For the city of Wilmington and unincorporated parts of New Hanover County, a curfew of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. is in place until further notice.
