Mike McGill
President, WaterPIO and Principal, LeadCopperRule.com

Mike McGill leads two companies, one helping water and wastewater utilities with their customer, media and crisis communications, and another helping water providers navigate communication under new regulations for lead in drinking water.

Newspapers and magazines he regularly reads include The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Atlantic.

One favorite website is Twitter. “I can go on it at any time and find news and commentary I want to read on my field or the day’s events. It also provides the brain candy I need about sports or comedy.”

Podcasts he enjoys include The Rewatchables about movies one can watch over and over; Waterloop for industry-related information featuring host Travis Loop; and The Tony Kornheiser Show: “It’s hilarious, smart and ties me back into my D.C. days.”

Favorite shows include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Succession, Yellowstone and Ozark for his “sociopathic pleasures” and Parks and Recreation, Ted Lasso and sports to balance him out.

CNBC’s The News with Shepard Smith is the best newscast out there.”

A book he recommends is “I Alone Can Fix It” by Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker.
