Breeze Airways announced Wednesday that it would begin offering four new routes from Wilmington International Airport, including a nonstop flight to Ohio.

The new destinations for the airline at ILM are to Akron-Canton, Ohio; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Tampa, Florida; and Long Island-Islip, New York, starting this fall, with one-way fares starting at $39, according to a news release.

Breeze is new to Wilmington, having announced that it was coming in August last year and starting flights earlier this year.

“It’s wonderful to see Breeze growing at ILM and doubling the routes they offer from our airport,” stated Jeff Bourk, ILM director, in the release. “We’re excited to offer our first nonstop to Ohio and to offer even more affordable options for travelers."

Travelers can book the flights today, the release stated. Breeze also announced it will double its weekly service from Wilmington to Orlando, Florida, starting in September.

“Breeze only began flying from Wilmington in February,” stated David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO, in the release, “so it’s great to be doubling service to Orlando and adding four new routes already. We’re confident travelers in Wilmington will enjoy these new destinations and look forward to welcoming them on an upcoming flight.”

The Breeze schedule for the new flights and Orlando is as follows. The fares listed come with caveats, including that the flights at these prices must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. May 13 for travel through Jan. 6, 2026. Other restrictions can be found online.
  • Akron-Canton, Ohio (Mondays and Fridays, starting Nov. 7, from $49 one-way);
  • Fort Lauderdale, Florida (Mondays and Fridays, starting Nov. 7, from $39 one-way);
  • Long Island-Islip, New York (Thursdays and Sundays, starting Oct. 2, from $49 one-way);
  • Orlando, Florida (Existing route doubling to four times weekly service on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays starting in September); and
  • Tampa, Florida (Thursdays and Sundays, starting Oct. 2, from $39 one-way).
Breeze flights take place on new Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
