Description of products made locally: Dave Fussell: “Duplin Winery produces muscadine wine all bottled locally (with the exception of Sweet Rosé) and all using muscadine grapes grown in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi.”
 
What made the company decide to make its goods locally? Dave Fussell: “We were born and raised in the Carolinas, and there’s no better place on earth to grow deliciously sweet muscadine grapes.”
 
What’s planned next?
Dave Fussell: “We released a new wine in May – Sweet Rosé. We also just released two dry wines – Summertime Strut and Coastal Shag. “We recently renovated our tasting rooms in Rose Hill. And within the next year we are hoping to add another tasting room to our North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, location. We are also in the process of installing a new grape press, for a total of five presses, and a faster bottling line with more capacity. “Today we have 54 families growing delicious grapes for us in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi, and we hope to continue to grow. We are growing to 1,400 acres of grapes with the additional 200 acres planned for 2018 and 2019. Also, our winery is growing from 1.25 million gallons to 1.4 million gallons in capacity in 2018.”
