Cape Fear Rehabilitation Services, a physical therapy and athletic training practice in Wilmington, recently became part of EmergeOrtho, the largest physician-owned practice in the state, according to an announcement Monday.

Linda Bennett and Dan Duffy will continue to see new and existing patients in EmergeOrtho’s Seagate building, 6019 Oleander Drive, Suite 101, the news release stated.

The addition is EmergeOrtho’s 10th physical and occupational therapy location in southeastern North Carolina.

“Adding Linda and Dan helps us continue to fulfill our goal of offering integrated, physical
therapy within EmergeOrtho in convenient locations throughout our community,” said EmergeOrtho CEO Stephen DeBiasi in the release. 

In addition to therapy and training services, the practice will continue to offer wellness, injury prevention, sports enhancement services and orthotics fabrication, the release stated.

Including the Seagate office, EmergeOrtho operates seven regional locations for advanced
orthopedic care in spine, sports medicine, joint reconstruction and revision, hand and upper extremity, foot and ankle, podiatry and trauma, according to the release.

EmergeOrtho also offers an MRI imaging program in four regional locations and three orthopedic urgent care locations called AccessOrtho.

“Adding Cape Fear Rehabilitation Services to EmergeOrtho is a great fit, as both practices have enjoyed an outstanding reputation for putting patients first,” DeBiasi said in the release. “The name describes our shared goal of helping patients emerge stronger, healthier and better.”
