Banks Among List Of ‘best Employers’

By Staff Reports, posted Sep 1, 2023
Forbes’ annual ranking of best employers by state was published in late August.

Three banks ranked among the 96 total companies listed for North Carolina. Raleigh-based First Citizens Bank came in at No. 20. Charlotte-based Bank of America ranked 59, with Charlotte-based Truist at 69.

Financial advisory firm Edward Jones, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, ranked No. 33 on the North Carolina list.

To compile the list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey full- or part-time employees in each state who work at companies with more than 500 employees nationwide. Participants were asked whether they would recommend their employer to friends and family and asked to evaluate their employer based on criteria including working conditions, diversity, compensation packages, potential for development and company image. All surveys were anonymous.
