Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern North Carolina has expanded its resource development team with the appointment of two seasoned professionals: Kim Schoeffler as chief development officer and Rick Morgenstern as director of major gifts.

"These strategic additions mark a significant step in advancing the organization's mission to enable all young people – especially those who need us most – to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens," according to a news release.

As chief development officer, Schoeffler brings more than 30 years of leadership in the hospitality industry, with a specialized background in sales, marketing and strategic partnerships, the release stated. She has held senior positions with Marriott International, Benchmark, Crestline Hotels & Resorts and Davidson Hospitality Group.

"A graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Schoeffler is driven by a passion for helping today’s youth take the next step into greatness," according to the release.

Morgenstern brings over two decades of executive leadership and a wealth of experience in fundraising, strategic growth planning and community outreach.

"Throughout his diverse career – including leading multiple businesses, non-profits, and coaching initiatives – Rick has raised more than $3 million in both private and nonprofit contexts by leveraging his deep expertise in relationship building and resource development," the release stated.

Dawn-Michele Blalock, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern North Carolina, stated in the release, “Their unique talents and deep commitment to youth development will be instrumental as we continue to grow our impact across the region and build great futures for even more children and teens.”
