Gaglione, McPeters Join New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation

By Staff Reports, posted Jun 10, 2025
New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation recently announced the addition of two accomplished fund development professionals, Beth Gaglione and Kristin McPeters, to its team.

Both are serving in the role of philanthropy manager. "Combined, they bring over 40 years of experience in strategic fundraising, donor engagement, and mission-driven philanthropy, and bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to NHRMC Foundation," according to a news release.

Tanya Armour, chief philanthropy officer at the NHRMC Foundation, stated in the release, "Their expertise and commitment to building meaningful relationships and connecting philanthropic partners with opportunities to positively impact team members and improve the health of those we serve in our region is a great asset to our foundation.”

Gaglione (pictured at right) brings nearly 30 years of experience in development and capacity building to her role as philanthropy manager at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served for a decade as branch director of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina at Wilmington, where she successfully led a capital campaign that resulted in a new headquarters on Greenfield Street.

Since moving to Wilmington in 2009, she has also held roles with UNCW and the Pender Alliance for Teen Health. Gaglione is a 2021 graduate of Leadership Wilmington and was named to the WilmingtonBiz 100 in both 2022 and 2023.

McPeters (pictured at left) is a certified fundraising executive (CFRE) with more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit development and communications. Before joining the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation as philanthropy manager, she most recently served as chief development officer for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern North Carolina and previously led capital campaign efforts for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina at Wilmington.

McPeters serves on the board and as program committee co-chair for the Cape Fear Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
